This curated reader rendezvous brings the world of K’s books to life with a little bit of baseball, a whole lot of romance, and time to explore the city of Brotherly Love. You’ll visit some of Philly’s most iconic spots, cheer on the Phillies at a game, browse local bookstores, and spend time laughing, relaxing, and wandering. K herself worked with our team to showcase all of her favorite Philly spots that inspired her baseball series.
There will be plenty of romance books, K will lead sessions and activities designed around the genre, and you’ll talk your heart out about books with your new friends! Think of it as part Philly adventure, part bookish girls’ weekend, and part sports-romance fantasy, with baseball, new friends, and a happily ever after. It's a glorified sleepover with K herself!
Meet K. Iwancio
K has been some semblance of a writer since 1st grade. That was when she had her first taste of the delight of getting a book published and reading it aloud to the class with rave reviews (It was about the Bills/Cowboys Super Bowl). What a power trip for a 7-year-old.
It wasn't until 7th grade that K was highly encouraged by her English teacher to continue writing poetry outside of class assignments. From there she moved on to Literary Club in 8th grade and added short stories to her repertoire.
When high school came around, that was when K discovered the wondrous world of fan fiction. It all went downhill from that point. Numerous teachers in high school loved her work and submitted some of her (safe) pieces for publication. Her teachers were the reason that she told herself,
"I can do this. I can be a published author one day."
In college, the trend continued but K pursued a career path in the design sector and writing went on the back burner. Then life got in the way and writing completely fell off her radar. Until one day in 2022, she decided to start writing once again. It started with fanfic after fanfic, fast and furious.
In September she had a lightbulb moment. K was going to finally write a book.
Now there's no stopping her as she chases after her dreams! Smutty romcoms are her jam. If you like Hallmark movies but with more steam, she's your author! She's started to dabble in paranormal romance and she's even contemplating some fantasy and sci-fi. As long as it has some semblance of romance...K's all for it!
